A designer in glass to the core, Erkkitapio Siironen's relatively short career produced boundary-breaking work which used every glass-blowing technique, from mould-blowing, pressing, centrifugal-casting and also adding the most interesting of decorative details to the surface, using sand-blasting and polishing to great effect. His name is sternly associated to the golden era of the Riihimaki Glass factory.
